Hiking Trail Norte Pequeno
This route is a network of trails in the parish of Norte Pequeno, north of São Jorge Island and one of the few circular trails. They are a set of 5 trails that have the same starting point which is near the parish council of this town and each of them ends in a fajã - Fajã do Mero, Funduras, Penedia, Pontas and Neca. When passing through these fajãs, it can be seen that the geomorphology of each one has distinct landscape characteristics. At some points of this route, especially in Fajã do Mero, you can observe an old "wire" that was used to transport the incense wood cut on the high rocks of that place.
