Nascente/Fajã Caldeira Sto. Cristo/Fajã dos Cubres
This route is a different way to visit the Fajã da Caldeira de Santo Cristo. It is a walk starting in a green pasture and a descent with a wonderful landscape and dense vegetation on a valley formed between two rocky massifs, in addition to an intact endemic flora and that, by not being a tourist area becomes a real natural beauty. This trail later intersects with the official trail to Fajã da Caldeira de Cima, where you can visit its waterfall. The Fajã da Caldeira de Santo Cristo is considered the ex-libris of the island, not only for its beauty but also for being the birthplace of the famous Clams of São Jorge, unique in the Azores.
